Anushavan Simonyan, Managing Partner at Amber Capital Armenia, contributed to a session on "Building Bankable Business Proposals" during the 2025 Trade and Private Sector Development & Engagement (TPSDE) Seminar. The annual EU-led event, organised by DG INTPA, brought together experts from EU institutions and development finance to explore how EU actors can structure impactful, investment-ready business proposals. Designed as a series of interactive interviews, the session included deep dives into financing models, corporate finance, equity funds and hybrid PPPs.
Mr. Simonyan participated alongside IFC and EIB and shared practical insights from Amber Capital Armenia’s experience of managing an EU-EBRD backed equity fund, highlighting how equity financing helps scale companies and integrate them into global value chains. He emphasized the EU’s catalytic role in fund development and called for strengthened institutional cooperation to mobilize investment for startups and mid-cap firms in partner countries.
